GENERAL MANAGER

Gold Coast Transit District (GCTD) which is based in Oxnard, CA is conducting a national search for an experienced, service-oriented, and innovative transit professional to serve as their next General Manager. Appointed by and reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager has full charge of the operation of GCTD’s services, facilities, and administration of business affairs as well as oversight of a budget with revenues sources of $30.4 million.

Requires any combination equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of progressively responsible management or administrative experience, at least 3 years of which shall have been directly or indirectly in public transportation. A Master’s degree is considered beneficial.

Annual salary range is $152,276 to $213,308 and DOQE. GCTD offers a competitive benefits program, including CalPERS Retirement.

DIRECTOR-TRANSIT TECHNOLOGY

The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) has an opening for an individual who is responsible for managing transit agency and business member engagement in innovative transit technologies, fare collection and technology research. Duties of the director include: serving as APTA’s primary resource on new technologies impacting transportation, including digital apps, data and privacy issues, and transit planning, mapping and payments; developing engaging programming for conferences, webinars and meetings; serving as staff advisor to various committees and working groups focused on technology, research, fare collection and procurement; engaging with business members and federal officials; and managing and directing APTA’s Technology Standards Development work.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree coupled with preferred minimum of 7 years’ experience in transit-related operations, association activities, and/or government agency work. Familiarity with current FTA and other federal programs is a plus. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people and organizations as well as work independently and under pressure meeting, multiple deadlines. Must be willing to travel to support peer reviews, committee meetings and conferences.

The PVPC is seeking candidates for a Transit Data Analyst.  This position will provide extensive technical support services to the region’s transit authority. Candidates must be technically sound, able to handle multiple projects and have excellent analytical skills with knowledge of SQL, R Programming and Excel. Familiarity with GIS and transit software programs like Avail and Remix is preferable.

The deadline for the first review is December 22, 2021. While the position will remain open until January 3, 2022 or the recruitment is cancelled, first consideration will be given to applications meeting the December 22, 2021 deadline.
