 Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP)

The Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) develops near-term, practical solutions to problems facing public transportation. TCRP is managed by the Transportation Research Board, a program of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. TCRP is sponsored by the Federal Transit Administration and works in partnership with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).

TCRP provides you access to public transportation-related research reports, and products.

  • Announcement and Project Panel Nominations for the FY 2018 Transit Cooperative Research Program. Immediate Action Requested​ ​

    The TCRP Oversight and Project Selection (TOPS) Committee met on October 20, 2017, to select projects for the TCRP's FY 2018 program. The announcement of those FY 2018 projects for which RFPs are expected to be issued can be found here​.

    TCRP is soliciting nominations of individuals with relevant expertise and experience to serve on each project oversight panel. Nominations can be submitted by completing this form​ and returning it to Joseph Snell ( Your nominations would be appreciated as soon as possible, but no later than January 19, 2018.​

  • The National Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP) hosts Peer Calls every other month on a particular topic in rural and tribal transit to facilitate information sharing and discussion of mutual issues and solutions. Click here ( to find out more and to register for upcoming Peer Calls.
