In the evolving landscape of public transportation, collaboration is more critical than ever. Successful projects depend on the strength of partnerships. This award honors a public transportation project or program where a transit agency, a prime contractor, and a certified small business worked in true partnership to deliver exceptional results—demonstrating mutual respect, innovation, transparency, and shared success.
This award:
- Celebrates outstanding collaboration in public transportation projects
- Promotes the value of comprehensive partnerships between agencies, large firms, and certified small businesses
- Demonstrates capacity building in current and future transit projects
- Shares best practices and success stories across the industry
AWARD CRITERIA
Nominees must demonstrate:
- Project Excellence
- Innovation and Problem Solving
- Effective Partnership Dynamics
- Small Business Empowerment
- Projects must involve a public transportation agency, a prime contractor, and at least one certified small business
- All partners must be APTA members in good standing
- Project must be completed or reach a significant milestone within the past 24 months
- All parties must agree to participate in the nomination
