The National Transit Database (NTD) is produced by the Federal Transit Administration. These data cover all public transportation agencies receiving funding from the Urbanized Area Formula Program (5307) or Rural Formula Program (5311).
The National Transit Database forms the basis for APTA’s Public Transportation Fact Book. The latest NTD covers report year 2020, and was released in December 2021.
